You want to live in New Zealand permanently and you have skills that can contribute to New Zealand’s economic growth. Your application is more likely to be accepted if you have employment in an area in which New Zealand has a skills shortage.
Once an applicant can claim 100 points and meets the prerequisites for health, character and English Language he/she may then lodge an EOI into the Skilled Migrant Pool. Please note that an applicant’s age must be 55 years or younger, in order to apply under this category.

You can get your Citizenship after 5 years following your New Zealand residence status.
Applicants must:
a. Be under 56 years of age.
b. Meet the English language requirements.
c. Nominate an occupation on the INZ’s List of Skilled Occupations and meet the entry-level requirements for that occupation.
d. Meet the registration requirements if the chosen or nominated occupation is a regulated occupation in NZ; and
e. Meet the health and character requirements.
An applicant must meet at least 160 points to get automatically selected from the pool , where the selection process will be held every fortnight.
